We Shouldn’t Have to Exist
…but we do, and you should ride with us.
Home of the Brave started earlier this year with an idea: We should be telling the stories of real people who are being hurt by Donald Trump’s disastrous second-term agenda. With the chaotic day-to-day news cycle, it’s easy to lose sight of the fact that Americans are suffering real-life consequences because of Trump’s policies.
We went out and found hundreds of those very people, and set out to bring their stories to the world. In all cases, we found them to be thoughtful, patriotic, community-minded Americans who wanted to take care of their families, and were bewildered by the fact that this administration seemed to be actively making their lives harder everyday. People like:
Terence, the world-renowned mathematician who was defunded for no reason
Maxwell, the Presidential Management Fellow illegally fired by DOGE—twice
Felipe, the painter whose “woke” art was censored and taken down from the Smithsonian
Q & Dave, the bar owners losing customers because of Trump’s occupation of DC
Alex, the travel agent who can’t find clients who want to come to America anymore
Jackie & Kimberly, the small business owners being wiped out by Trump’s tariffs
Michael, the doctor who can no longer rely on credible information from the CDC
Thomas & Dave, the career cops who are now protesting Trump’s weaponization of law enforcement
Lisa, the single mom facing eviction because of Trump’s disastrous economic policies
Every one of these people has their own story to tell, and all of them are heartbreaking in their own way. We also noticed something in speaking with all of them: They are unafraid.
Unlike so many of our so-called elites, these are regular Americans with regular jobs and regular lives who—despite Trump’s vindictiveness—are brave enough to speak out and tell the truth about what’s happening to our country right now. In many cases, these people aren’t even particularly political, but they’ve found Trump’s toxic version of politics intruding on their lives in ways that were new and intolerable, and needed to be called out.
To bring these stories to the world, Home of the Brave has run more than $1 million in paid advertisements around the country, spotlighting these voices. We’ve run ads reaching the people who were exposed to ICE’s propaganda campaign, and who watch pro-Trump “manosphere” content. We’ve driven billboard trucks around Congress, urging legislators to release the Epstein files. We’ve put up billboards in Times Square highlighting Trump’s shady Epstein connections. And we’ve flown film crews around the country to cut ads with heroic Americans who still have the courage to speak out.
All of that takes resources, and we have a growing team working behind the scenes to ensure we keep getting the word out. You might know us because you read our Substack posts, or see our YouTube videos, or follow our Twitter feed, or watch our spokespeople in the media. Behind all of that, our staff spend each day running down leads, contacting real people hurt by Trump, filming content with them, and packaging it for maximum impact.
The other side has a slick, sophisticated propaganda operation that exists to make authoritarianism seem appealing to the masses. It’s incumbent on the rest of us to offer some meaningful pushback. And as we head into the new year, here’s our promise to you, from the Home of the Brave team: We’re not going anywhere. We’ll still be here, capturing real people’s stories and bringing them to a mass audience. Because that’s what this moment requires of us.
All of this takes a lot of staff time and resources. And if you support our work and would like to help us keep doing it in 2026, here’s our only ask: Consider becoming a paid subscriber to Home of the Brave. Or, if you prefer, you can make a donation directly to our organization. Every dollar goes toward helping tell the real stories of people hurt by Trump, and amplifying the courageous voices of those who are speaking out:
Thank you. Our fight continues in 2026. For as long as it takes.
