I hope Home of the Brave grows by leaps and bounds. May God have mercy on our country. On this fourth of July I am mourning all we once were and known by. We must continue the fight even though we are exhausted.

He has refused his Assent to Laws; He has obstructed the Administration of Justice; He has kept among us, in times of peace, Standing Armies without the Consent of our legislatures; He has affected to render the Military independent of and superior to the Civil power; For imposing (Tariff) Taxes on us without our Consent; For depriving us in many cases, of the benefits of Trial by Jury; For transporting us beyond Seas to be tried for pretended offenses.

249 years and tyranny looks the same.

What about the general dismantling of the independent federal agencies (including FEMA) — Do we even have a Legislative Branch anymore? The agencies are responsible for turning statutes into regulations, policies, and enforcement mechanisms.

You know the quip about tyranny? Q: What do you think of tyranny? A: It depends who the tyrant is. Republicans have no problem with tyranny as long as the tyrant likes them. Democrats (except for the Far Left) have a problem with it on principle.

I define tyranny as being afraid for your person, property or liberty without the process of law, or the corruption of laws. Corruption and tyranny are two sides of the same coin.

Tempted though I am by schadenfreude, I applaud this open, non-judgmental call for everyone to come forward. Some of these stories will be “I’m not political but” and “I voted for him but.” We need these stories. We need them right there in the mix. We need an off-ramp for these people. The leopard jokes can be kept to ourselves.

Glad you were able to get yourself beyond judgement. Agree those who love those leopard, I toldja' so, jokes need to keep them to themselves, that is, IF we want liberal democracy to prevail. If they don't care either way, they can keep on joking. Just not here.

What's more important? Preserving liberal democracy or being right about those stupid Trumpers? You can't have both.

The last line of the Declaration of Independence. They meant this quite literally.
