He tries to intimidate his fellow senators like a playground bully instead of reasoning with them, something he is incapable of. If we held a contest for the least qualified candidate to lead DHS, he'd win, hands-down!

He's exactly what I'd expect Oklahoma to send to the Senate - dumb, ignorant, and arrogant because he has a lot of money. Oklahoma is now so desperate that they're running commercials on TV in Texas (and probably elsewhere) trying to get people to move to OK (I've never seen them do that before, EVER). This guy is totally unfit for any job at the federal level.
The guy was never suitable as a Senator, and now he won't be suitable as a DHS Secretary. I would agree that "clown car" is an apt metaphor.
