"Allowing the president to wield powers never granted to the office is not merely a technical breach—it is a desecration of the Constitution itself, enabled by the first branch of government." THIS is where the current repug-led Congress has horribly failed We The People.

Common themes: disruption, chaos and grabbing as much power as Congress and the Supreme Court have allowed him. At every turn. The feckless Congress indeed. Those enablers are such a disgrace and disservice to We The People.

I've known about tariffs for longer than the orange guy has been in office. As I learned it, an important function of tariffs was to discourage American citizens from buying foreign goods, so the would instead buy domestic goods. Tariffs cut into foreign producers' profits by reducing their sales, not because THEY pay tariffs. The Oval Office resident tells Americans that foreign countries are paying the tariffs. Because he lies so often, it is hard to tell if he is lying to Americans, or of he truly does not understand this tool he is wielding so erratically.

I'm so sorry for your losses. Thank you for standing up, and for calling out the immoral and corrupt GOP Congress. There are no excuses for their actions.

The only politicians I loathe more than Trump are Republican members of Congress who have abdicated ALL responsibility for the constituents. They understand very well their job is to be a counter-balance on the executive branch, yet they cower in fear of a bully whose idea of loyalty is one-way...his way. When the word treason comes up, it should be applied to every Republican member of Congress.

The Democrats in Congress are only slightly better. Their stance is flaccid, flapping their arms in weak protest while fighting among themselves. Their leadership couldn't organize a Sunday School picnic, let alone the vital job of opposition to a dictator.
