A couple of cans of gold Rust-Oleum…

That's all it took …

Philip Kennicott has been working overtime alongside a cadre of citizens, like the webcam group on the Kennedy Center. Now he wants to paint the Eisenhower Bldg. Holy moly! More chaos & conservation. While photo banners adorning gov’t buildings is revolting at least they’re not permanent. One wapo commenter noted that the placement did avoid perpetuating a stench that may occur if placement were lower. There’s lots to protect. Now Europe is burning. Judith Gura & Larry Lederman worked on a publication documenting NY Landmarks. Kennicott, & those who love architecture, antiques & history, are burning daylight as Historic Preservationists have their hands full with this bunch. It’s also time to revisit Montgomery’s American Furniture, the Federal Period. We must nudge Brock Jobe. Published in 1966 …, this is the perfect time to photograph the beauty that moves Mona Charen. I haven’t seen her city but I believe it must be as Reagan said…”the American vision…a country that would be a light unto the nations, and a shining city upon a hill.”
