Trump isn't protecting free speech. He's destroying it.

Why is the free speech party suddenly okay with censoring late-night comedians?

At his second inauguration, Donald Trump promised to stand as a champion for free speech. He’s spent years railing against “cancel culture” and alleged government censorship of conservative viewpoints.

Now that he’s back in office, Trump is taking a different tack. After Jimmy Kimmel told some jokes that displeased him, Trump’s FCC commissioner threatened to pull the broadcast license for ABC, Kimmel’s employer. ABC promptly took Kimmel off the air.

This is the textbook definition of government censorship. And some of Trump’s own erstwhile allies are starting to notice, saying: “This is f*****g crazy.”

At Home of the Brave, we’re going to keep making sure people know about Trump’s war on free speech. Because those who took him at his word when he promised to be a “free speech president” need to know the truth.
