Great article, however, you failed to mention HHS’s agency, Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA). The cuts enacted by this administration resulted in a decrease of 50% of their staff and approximately 15% in federal funding allocated to substance abuse programs, affecting treatment accessibility nationwide.
Recent data indicate a promising decline in opioid overdose deaths. Over the past two years, opioid-related fatalities have decreased by about 12%, from approximately 70,000 deaths in 2023 to around 61,600 in 2025. This decline shows initial positive impacts, but there is need for sustained investment and comprehensive strategies to continue progress.
Going forward, these reductions could pose risks to our communities by limiting access to vital mental health and substance abuse services. Reduced funding may hinder prevention efforts, treatment programs, and support systems, potentially leading to an increased risk of relapse, overdose, and broader public health challenges.
Everything that slime ball does hurts us — seems to be his main purpose ihn oife - “Do all the hurt & damage I can!!” == pure filth in sub-human form!!
I don’t think we actually need most of this stuff. Yes, maybe it isn’t really saving me any money, but morally I’m glad to not be paying for it. These cuts are a moral victory, if nothing else.
I hope you put these facts and real-life stories in a book. Then take that book, along with the people whose stories are within, and go on a book tour. And while in D.C. on that book tour, visit every congressperson who allowed these cuts, and shame them on camera while giving them signed copies of the books. Hell, throw the book in their faces and draw some retributional blood.

The US President is clearly mentally ill. He wants to be the Emperor of the world. He needs to be removed from office.

…but they saved all that money 🙄
When he started and installed all of those clowns “we” (non MAGA) knew their actions would be devastating, lives would be affected, people will die.
Thanks for the article!
