I understand , the best in Cincinnati Ohio Uc oncology . We went to due to one of Alan drs said we have great new drugs . Well then the collected a sample of my husband tumor . Not sure why due to we were told there are no studies . The burn was watching his dr on tv on channel 9 news on how he saved this man who been alive for years ,treated for cancer of pancreases and liver . By using his cancer cell to decide what meds will work best .
So the tv channel 9 did not give us hope . Due to it will not be used , just analyzed.
Spent my life caring for patients at UC cannot do a thing to help my husband except a 2 drugs that was only fair by for breat .
For this to happen to the Seattle young girl is shameful . Why is Japan offering studies . Wish we had the money to go . They our know for being more advance then US .

As someone who is in remission from a rare type of lymphoma that I was diagnosed with in 2019, this hits home. If I hadn't been able to get into a teaching hospital (Washington University in St Louis) with one of the top hemoncs in the country, I wouldn't be alive today. I hope every member of this regime is stricken with bone or anal cancer and dies in excruciating pain. Fuck them all.
I am also a blood cancer patient whose future is unknown with the cutting of cancer research, as this is a field where so many advances have taken place in the last few years. After 3 years of numerous treatments, I am finally in remission with a cutting edge procedure. But then what happens once it comes back (it always does)?My doctors have told me their funds have been stopped. I feel for you as parents going through this. The callousness, heartlessness of these decisions are beyond the pale. I believe they want people to die and suffer without a care, so they continute to line their pockets. It is now a country being run by the most evil people on earth.
I have served 16 years as a Republican county party chair, 8 years on the state executive committee, a national convention delegate and appointed as an electoral, and yet i voted AGAINST Trump last year. I'm very suspect of what either side says. I read WSJ, The Hill, Stat ( for medical background) and others to be informed as much as possible. But when I read that 50% of taxpayers funded grants go right to college administration departments, you mentioned " thousands of scientists " . How are we to know our sacrifices are responsibly spent? How are we to know the rest of the world is making
I appreciate your efforts to stay informed and to be watchful, as you should. But I can tell you from first hand experience, because I have two grandchildren with brain cancer that is in remission, that much needed funding made it into the hands of the research hospitals in our area to help them! We have several research hospitals that pool their knowledge and depend on funding. The brain cancer my grandson had has a high return rate and they have tried to find out why and I fear that will be slow to come now. Trump and Musk came in and used a chainsaw without thought or consequence or conscience.
My first time on substance, so forgive my comments being incomplete. My points on spending are driven by government waste. What supervision of the billions of dollars. How do we know there is any accountability? Higher education jacked up costs at 2 1/2 times the rate of inflation for four decades. Are these same people in charge of this?
At the level I myself witnessed in oncology they are fighting for human life. You're zeroing in on accountability which is an important conversation to have someday but the last 10 months have only been about cruelty, chaos, and unaccountability.
