the bottom line is that there is a rush to break all these institutions, especially DOJ. I would imagine the idea is essentially if enough damage is done, the next occupants will be too busy to have any accountability whatsoever. It would also allow these shitbags to claim the DOJ is acting in a partisian way whenever the feds eventually come knocking for all the damage done.
The problem with that theory though is that states do in fact have power here and state AG’s and BAR associations can hold these fuckers accountable if they would just get in the fight.
