Your painting is beautiful. I probably never would have seen it but for your willingness to share your story. Thank you so much!

Every day, the republicans work to make this country the image of a dystopian hell-hole in some science fiction movie. Education, art, soon enough music will all have to fit in the fascist mold, or it will be eradicated! I think this painting is inspirational and makes a great comment on the hope and prosperity this country represents to people all over the world!

Just another reason why we need to remove the insanity that has infected the Trump administration.

I absolutely love your painting. I see so much love and yearning in it. I feel much sadness, too. In fact even this small thumbnail version of your creation brought tears to my eyes. Thank you so much for sharing and caring. God bless you and yours.

Your artwork is wonderful and it is heartbreaking what T and his complicit GOP peeps are doing to our country. Art in all forms is a form of expression similar to speech. To censor all this is despicable. I wish you well and hope that you’ll continue to paint and show the world your voice through your art.

Your painting is beautiful and reflects America, why people want to come here, and why allies support us. Hopefully, the next administration will restore it to where it belongs along with other parts of history Trump has physically (but not in reality) eliminated.

Heartbreaking! What a powerful painting about the possibilities of the American dream, which are now lost both literally and symbolically. I grieve for us all, but will not stop fighting to mitigate this disastrous regime.

I'm so thankful we visited the Smithsonian last year before the Nazi regime took over.

Felipe, i am truly sorry that Trump attacked your work. It is absolutely beautiful and we white Americans need to be reminded not to whitewash our history. I spend my life’s energy trying to teach and understand the beautiful and the ugly of our history. I will fight until my last breath to help make the United States a more inclusive, multicultural country where all people’s voices are wanted and needed for a truly just society. Thank you for this essay.

A great essay. Keeping the country ignorant of it's history and changing it while doing so, is only allowed in authoritarian fascist regimes. It's why they still have a problem with minorities such as blacks, Latinos, Asians. Nobody wants to talk about it. Nobody wants to confront the truth. It's still there because it can't be ignored for long because if it does then history of bad actions with fester for all time. donnie wants that to happen because then they will cause people to hate all non whites regardless of their status as citizens. Keep fighting America or as Donnie say "You wont have a country anymore."
