Trump doesn't want Powell around because, let's face it, he's doing his job. He's an independent body of the government and that's why, as hard as trump tries he can't fire him. Trump hates that theirs someone during this term that he can't control. Yet HE'S the one that hired him! I love the irony ('-')

Thank you for calling attention to this attack. Trump's good friend, J. Epstein, said very clearly that Trump could not be trusted to talk money. We need to do all we can to stand against Trump destroying our economy further than he's already done with his tariff insanity.

I agree. I was somewhat shocked to see Mr. Powell's video. I believe that dictatorships have, historically, taken control of the equivalent of the Fed. It is clear by now, or should be, that the orange turd is bent on destroying democracy, our economy, our alliances in NATO. Hmm, me thinks he's a Russian asset.

I am glad Powell did not kowtow to Trump. I wish a few more elected Republicans have a spine instead of feigning concerns if not outright cheerleading every ridiculous move by the regime. I am glad Thom Tillis spoke out, but I am not reassured given his record of lying to Hegseth’s sister-in-law during that confirmation.

Trump the Shallow only knows that lower rates would give him a badly-needed bump in the polls from the low-information crowd who votes for him. The inflation it inspired wouldn't bother him because he never, ever spends his own money anyway!

Not defending this action against Powell - it's designed as yet another salvo to disintigrate the old order and usher in a new global tyrannical one - but with regard to the FED, they have zero legitimacy.

"If the American people ever allow private banks to control the issue of their currency, first by inflation, then by deflation, the banks and corporations that will grow up around them will deprive the people of all property until their children wake up homeless on the continent their Fathers conquered.... I believe that banking institutions are more dangerous to our liberties than standing armies...." -Thomas Jefferson

Since its spurious inception in 1913, the "price stability" mandated FED has looted 98+% of the US dollar's value.

Money creation belongs to the people, not to a private bank masquerading around as a government agency (the word Federal is to fool us) that first counterfeits and then lends that money to us at interest to be repaid to them while inflating away its value.

"Permit me to issue the currency of a nation, and I care not who makes its laws." -Rothschild

Maybe this is an argument to have once we remove the guy who is implementing Project 2025 in real time which includes collapsing the US economy. Regardless as to whether we believe the Fed is good or not, putting another loyalist into this position will absolutely destroy our economy. Let alone the threats this Russian asset is making to the rest of the world with territory grabs FROM NATO nations!

I’m not so sure… A fake branch of government robbing and impoverishing young children and old widows for the past 113 years has probably earned the dishonor of being called out for it whenever their name is invoked…

I do not agree. When your house is on fire, first you put out the fire. Then you look for causes and fix those.

One more brick in the wall of stupid leadership the US is facing... with nearly three more years... THREE MORE YEARS!... to go. Unless something wonderfully catastrophically, such as a someone's fat heart stops beating or, heaven forbid, a shooter with the right ability shows up the disaster to the United States has no end. Impeach! 25th Amendment! Aneurysm!
