I admire your resilience and values. We must not forget that the Republicans in Congress enabled and continue to enable this clown. Clearly this psycho must be removed -he is destroying our country in front of our eyes. Thanks Michael for what you have done.
Bravo Sir! I am truly gobsmacked that this plain, appalling truth is not embraced by millions of so called God fearing American patriots. What happened to police on January 6 is an utter desecration of the countless lives of service witnessed across America in the name of freedom and justice. It was a day of deep shame that has only deepened further when a majority of voters saw fit to place that vile cretin back in the Oval Office.
I’ll never forget your testimony at the J6 hearings. If more people had seen that, things might be different. To me, personally, you are a hero and an inspiration. Thank you for staying vocal.
Thank you so much for your bravery and loyalty to justice. We the people appreciate your sacrifice. It is despicable what the tRump administration has done. I'm ready to fight for what is right.
Trump has repeatedly used his manipulated "law and order" actions to his own advantage and to the disadvantage of how it really should be used in our country. This is not America.
Thank you for your continued service - to and for the people. Your bravery and commitment to law and order is impactful and seen. I'm thankful that you stand up for all of us and that you have chosen to continue your service now in a leadership and educational role.
I am very worried that police here will not serve and protect. Their oath may be different from that of the US Military, but they still must know that Trump is just a felon doing illegal things, destroying the country in the process. We need the police. But they need us, too. We are one people. DC needs to stand up. United.
Thank you for continuing to stand up. While you and a few fellow LEOs have been the main faces of this unending travesty, countless of your brothers and sisters in blue have been slapped down by these actions, too. Many of us know this and wish we could do something helpful, something personal. We will fight the best we can, but you know...I would really like to make you some cookies.
I appreciate you speaking out against Trump, and as someone who has also been attacked by a lynch mob I sympathize with what you went through that day. I wrote about my own experience here.
That said, I'm sorry, the cops very much signed up for this. You, by critiquing Trump at all, are an exception that proves the rule. Jan. 6 did not deter the massive support Trump received from police officers and their unions. This is in large part a blowback against the Black Lives Matter Movement. Calls here for accountability, racial justice, and mass reform to our historically, systematically racist legal system and an end to white supremacy were met with baton, rubber bullet, and tear gas from the very same officers who backed Trump. Hell, there were cops rioting at the Capitol on Jan 6. This is all well documented.
It is the police who are now cracking down on protesters and aiding ICE. The police, as an institution, are a reactionary force in this society. For those within the institution who see this, who oppose fascism, the path forward is clear. Quit and oppose the institution you once served with all you can muster.
Trump, as authoritarian and loathsome as he is, is but a man. He was brought to power by a movement powered by the dark forces that have always been here in this country. White supremacy, nativism, authoritarianism, patriarchy, anti-LGBTQ sentiment, and settler colonial entitlement. We can't just expect to evict one man and be ok. We need to completely change the social, political, legal, institutional, and economic structures that brought him to power. That includes abolishing what we today know as the police and completely rethinking how we address public safety. Trump is a product of the old world, we need a new one.
Stay safe, and I hope you keep speaking out, but broaden your analysis and I think you'll find that once you reach the root of the problem, you can see a future where something better can grow instead.

Mr. Fanone, Thank you for your voice, integrity, and service!

You nailed it saying if more people had seen Michael’s testimony and then watched the hearings we might be in an entirely different place.
Keep on speaking truth to the criminals in the GOP and their collaborators.

Thank you for your service and for continuing to defend our democracy. We are grateful for you and your colleagues.

And on top of everything else, it's designed to be another distraction from the Epstein files. Trump is beyond pathetic.
Thank you Michael for speaking out. Your story is so important!
What a hard beat. 20 years. Impressive. We need a lot of police officers to say no to the dictator when he is unlawful and/or depraved.
